Stony Mill Elementary participated in a canned food drive in early November. Students were encouraged to bring in canned food donations to be given to families in need in our community. The Danville-Pittsylvania County Social Services department will be distributing the donations to community members during the upcoming holidays. Stony Mill students donated 1009 cans! Ms. Katie Hines’s kindergarten class donated the most cans; those students donated 147 cans alone! Stony Mill takes pride in our community. This was just a small token to show how much we care for the members of our community.
